12" unbleached horse hide drum with beater, hand painted with a Jón Árnason Galdrastafir.  Artwork is "Fengur", often used as an Icelandic Horse name, meaning "Catch, benefit, gain" for wealth, good fortune and prosperity.  Fehu rune art represents the same concepts.  The cardinal directions are represented on the sides with drakkar ships travelling around sun wheels.  Beater head is white leather, with a hand painted alder wood handle. Both the drum grip and beater are wrapped with wool yarn.
