Tunable 16" goat hide drum featuring hand painted primitive Nordic style stave artwork, encircled by the 24 Elder Futhark runes.   Beater is willow wood, wrapped in Icelandic sheep's wool, and finished with brass beads and horse tail hair.

The stave art for this drum is intended to aid in connecting with the Elder Futhark runes, allowing for focus and centering for communication. The visual "pool effect" of the art helps to create a concentrated focus on bringing a particular rune to center for meditation. Journeying into the runes can be dizzying and the stave-work imbued on this drum head for the runes serve as an instigator and embodiment of that very same feeling.
