Reindeer Drum With Leg and Hoof Beater And Rattle

Set of three items:

Nordic reindeer hide drum, 15" on maple frame, with white birch beater wrapped with a reindeer hide leg section with intact hoof at bottom.  The beater head is finished with rabbit fur.  Reindeer hide rattle is made in similar fashion, filled with Ukrainian buckwheat for a crisp therapeutic sound.  Beater handle and rattle handle feature Icelandic wool ties, and the reverse side of the drum is decorated with rabbit fur strips.  The reindeer hide used was sourced from Sami reindeer herders in northern Scandinavia.  All animals furs and hides are from animals used for food and not killed for skins.
