Humankind has always admired and been fascinated by the beauty of nature all around us. I try to reflect this in my craft as much as possible but usually in not such delicate work. Shell jewelry dates back thousands and thousands of years, and perhaps some of the very first things we adorned ourselves with outside of clothing to keep warm.

 From an archeological standpoint their finds tell a greater story than just that of our vanity, but of culture and society, status and wealth, migrations, trade and commerce long before we ever thought existed amongst our species. It's an honor to pay homage to such a historically rich tradition in crafting with shell.
